After many months of leaks, hype and speculation, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has finally arrived, and as expected from Samsung’s latest super phone, it has perhaps the best selection of specs we’ve seen on a smartphone yet.
When it comes to core power and performance, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, which is essentially an overclocked version of the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. That probably makes this the most powerful chipset available is available to Android phones right now.
It’s also accompanied by 12GB of RAM, regardless of which storage configuration you choose (with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB options). And on the software side, you get big upgrades to the core Android experience, as Samsung has introduced ‘Galaxy AI’ here and on the rest of the Samsung Galaxy S24 line.
This refers to several new AI-powered features, like the ability to translate voice calls live, circle things in photos and videos to search for them on Google, have your notes summarized automatically, and edit photos in several powerful ways.
If you’re curious to see how the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra performs in practice, you’ll find our first impressions in our hands-on Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra review, but for a closer look at the specs, check out the table below, followed by an overview of the highlights.

As you can see from the specs list above, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has a promising selection of cameras, including a 200 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 10 MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP periscope with 5x optical zoom. .
However, only the 50 MP snapper is new, and it replaces the 10 MP 10x zoom of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, Samsung is still promising 10x zoom optical quality here (along with up to 100x digital zoom), so there’s a good chance the Galaxy S24 Ultra will dethrone its predecessor as the best camera phone. For a bigger look at the cameras, check out our overview of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra cameras.
Many of the other specs of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra are similar or identical to those of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, including the 5,000mAh battery, 45W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, 12MP front-facing camera, included S Pen and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and the 6.8-inch QHD+ screen.
However, that screen is brighter than before and reaches up to 2,600 nits, where the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra excels at 1,750 nits. That should make outdoor visibility much better on this new phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra also has a titanium frame instead of the aluminum of the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Titanium is a more expensive material and brings the phone more in line with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which also use titanium.
