We've got another Galaxy S24 leak to pass on to you, this time regarding the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra – and specifically how thin the bezels around the edge of the flagship phone's display will be.
The usually reliable one @UniverseelIjs has posted that the S24 Ultra will offer “the thinnest bezel and thickest center frame” – with a mock rendering of what this will actually look like when the phone is unveiled.
Apparently the bezel (the black bezels just outside the screen) will be just 1.52mm thick, while the center frame (the edge of the phone, outside the screen and bezels) will be 1.85mm thick.
That's 3.37mm in total, and according to this tipster, that means it has “the thickest frame in history” – apparently the black version of the phone will look quite “ugly” since the frame and bezel are in one will blend in if you watch It.
I call the S24 Ultra a smartphone with the thinnest bezel and the thickest middle frame. The bezel is only 1.52mm, which is clearly the narrowest. But the middle frame reaches 1.85mm. It is the phone with the thickest frame in history. So, if they are added together, the total is 3.4… pic.twitter.com/yr4OO7IPiEDecember 3, 2023
Borders and screens
There's been more talk about the Galaxy S24 Ultra's bezels than you might have thought, and indeed @UniverseIce has previously said how thick the frame and bezels will be in combination.
We've also previously seen unofficial renderings of what these bezels might look like on the actual phone, and it sounds like the top and bottom bezels are likely narrower than those on the left and right sides of the screen.
Another change reportedly in the pipeline for the Ultra model is a move to a flat screen instead of the slightly rounded edges of its predecessor, which also plays into what we're hearing about bezels and frames.
While we're talking about a reliable source here, this is all still largely unconfirmed – and that won't be until sometime in January, when the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are expected to launch. .
