Samsung Galaxy S23 colors: every rumored shade, including the S23 Plus and Ultra
>
A new year means a new series of Samsung Galaxy S phones, and with it a new selection of colours. But Samsung seems to be tackling it slightly differently with the Samsung Galaxy S23 line than in previous years.
With the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, we saw one set of colors for the S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus and another set for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, but with the S23 series, leaks suggest that all three phones will be available in the same hues.
So below you’ll find all the shades we’ve heard about the Samsung Galaxy S23 line, with all the most likely options expected for each phone.
Cotton flower
One shade we’ve heard mentioned is Cotton Flower, which based on leaked images, like the one above, is likely a cream or off-white shade. We’ve heard beige mentioned elsewhere, which probably refers to this as well.
Multiple sources have mentioned a color along these lines and leaked images have shown this hue, strongly suggesting it will be one of the options.
It’s not the most inspiring finish judging by the images we’ve seen, but white always seems to be a popular color anyway, and this is arguably the closest thing the Samsung Galaxy S23 series has.
This also appears to be different from any Samsung Galaxy S22 shade – there was a cream color on offer there, but it was more yellow. The S22 series is also available in pure white.
Misty lilac
Misty Lilac seems like a pretty name for pink, judging from leaked images you can see above. This shade has also been mentioned several times, so it will probably be offered at launch.
It appears to be a very light pink that is even paler and more subdued than the Pink Gold shade that the Samsung Galaxy S22 comes in. So this too is a shade in which the current models are not available.
Botanical green
We’ve also heard multiple mentions of a shade of green, with one source claiming it’s called Botanic Green, sharing images of what it could look like.
This is a bit more interesting and unusual than the previous two options, but may also prove to be less popular as a result. It vaguely resembles the Galaxy S22 green hue, but is slightly lighter and paler.
Phantom black
Phantom Black is a classic Samsung shade we’ve seen before. It’s also plain black, which is one of the most popular and common smartphone finishes in general.
Of course, there’s more than one type of black, and this one appears to be a fairly muted, pale black judging by the leaked images.
It’s another color we’ve heard about several times, so coupled with what a popular choice this is, it’s a color we expect to see.
Light gold / pink gold
The four colors above currently look like the shades we’re likely to see, but at least one source has also mentioned that there may be a Light Gold or Pink Gold option.
Now, there’s a pink color above, so they could be referring to that, but leaked images don’t suggest there’s anything gold about it, so this could be something else. However, we wouldn’t count on seeing it if it is, as it hasn’t been widely mentioned.
White
White isn’t a color we’ve heard mentioned by name for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, but a leak showed dummy units of the three phones in a shade of white, which appears different from the Cotton Flower color above.
So we can’t rule out this color, but we’re also a lot less convinced that we’ll see this compared to other rumored shades.
Other possible shades
While the above colors are all specific shades we’ve heard about, a source has said there may be additional shades that are exclusive to Samsung’s stores.
That wouldn’t be unusual for the company, so it’s believable, and here we might see some variation in the color options for each model, with perhaps some Galaxy S23 Ultra shades that the other two phones don’t fit in, and vice versa.
It’s unclear what shades these might be – unless they’re the less rumored light gold or white options above – but there are plenty of possibilities. The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is available in all kinds of colors that Samsung can choose from; including Sky Blue, Burgundy, Red, Violet and other options.
Of course, the company also picks something from an older model or new shades that it hasn’t offered before.
