Samantha Armytage is all smiles as she totes designer bag makeup free in Sydney – but it’s the hidden detail in the new Channel Nine host’s ensemble that’s set tongues wagging
Samantha Armytage was alive and well as she left Channel Nine’s Sydney Studios on Monday.
The former Channel Seven star appeared on Today to discuss her new role as host of The Golden Bachelor, after her gig was recently announced on Nine’s Upfronts.
Sam, 48, looked cheerful as she left the network complex, dressed from head to ankle in Channel Nine blue, which would have left her former employer looking red.
The TV veteran looked a million bucks – and was every inch the channel’s new golden girl – in a chic button-up shirt casually tucked into deep blue jeans.
Sam packed her belongings into a Margot mini bucket bag from Australian brand Oroton, which retails for $399.
She completed her ensemble with a pair of red Adidas sambas to add a touch of street style to her look.
The Farmer Wants a Wife star wore her blonde locks parted and tied back after her TV appearance and let her natural beauty shine through with a makeup-free face.
At one point, Sam seemed engrossed in her cellphone as she navigated her new surroundings.

It comes after Samantha took a swipe at her former employers Channel Seven.
Her move to Nine comes after she shocked fans by resigning from rival Seven in August after 21 years at the network.
Earlier today, Sam gushed about Seven and the show she presented for eight years, Sunrise, during an appearance on Nine’s Today.
Sam shared a selfie alongside Today presenters Karl Stefanovic, Sarah Abo, Alex Cullen and Jayne Azzopardi.
“This morning I woke up to… Today,” she captioned the image.
Sam also wore a stylish blue dress, in what appeared to be a nod to Nine, as she posed on the set of the breakfast programme.
She couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she took several photos in the studio.

During Samantha’s appearance on Today, resurfaced footage was played of a baby-faced Armytage presenting WIN news in the ’90s in Canberra.
“You were part of the Nine family going back to the early 1960s, look at this,” Today host Karl Stefanovic joked on Monday morning, earning chuckles from Armytage and Today co-host Sarah Abo.
A younger Armytage appeared on screen wearing a white blazer and bob cut, as Armytage laughed at the images.
Abo told Armytage, “You haven’t changed at all!”
“Oh honey, thank you. Listen to that little high voice: I was a baby,” Armytage replied.

Armytage appeared on the program to discuss the launch of Nine’s new TV show The Golden Bachelor.
It is not the first time that Samantha seems to target her former employer Seven.
She appeared to take a thinly veiled swipe at Seven as she shared a post celebrating her new job at Nine.
Sharing a photo of herself at the Nine Upfronts, Samantha said her move to Nine was like “coming home”, citing the fact that her first reporting job was at the network in 1998.
She also said emphatically that a “piece of her heart” has always been at Nine throughout her long career, despite working for their rival Seven for more than 20 years.

“Well, this is a bit of a surprise, isn’t it? A wonderful change, a new start and a new network for me,” she wrote.
‘I’m thrilled to be joining @channel9 and it feels a bit like coming home – my first reporting job out of university in 1998 was at WIN TV in Canberra – so part of my heart is with the family all the time 9 career.’
The TV presenter then revealed details about her new hosting gig on The Golden Bachelor, which will air on Nine next year.
‘My new show is THE GOLDEN BACHELOR coming out in 2025, and I’m so excited to keep playing TV Cupid, but this time for a more… ummm adult audience (if you’re in the fantastic 50s or 60s, single and looking for real love. Sign up now OR nominate someone you know),” she wrote.
It is not the first time that Samantha has appeared to target her former employers. She took a thinly veiled swipe at Seven when she took to Instagram on Friday to share a post celebrating her new job at Nine
“It’s THE biggest show in America and I know it’s going to be huge here. I can’t wait to start filming.
‘Join me on this wild ride, thanks for the warm welcome.. & bring on 2025!’
The Golden Bachelor offers people in their 50s and 60s the chance to find their second chance at love and will premiere on Nine sometime in 2025.
