Samantha Armytage complains about ‘difficult and destructive’ tourists – after promoting her NSW coastal property as summer rental: ‘Literally, life has never been easier’

Samantha Armytage has spoken out strongly against misbehaving tourists following a recent series of negative headlines about troublesome holidaymakers.

The TV star wrote in her column for Stellar Magazine this week that life is easier than ever — and she doesn’t understand why travelers have reason to complain.

“People have never been so lucky – or spoiled. I know the world is in a total mess (of our own making), but in terms of living standards, medicine and communication, there has never been a better time to be alive,” she wrote.

“The hardest thing we’ve ever had to figure out is why the baby boomers covered their precious floorboards with carpet or thought smoking and baking in the sun was good for them,” Sam continued.

‘And now we can get all the information, clothes, attractions and food we need just by pressing a few buttons on the devices in our pockets.

‘Literally, life has never been easier. So why are people so difficult and destructive these days?’

Sam has had a personal impact on the behaviour of tourists after she advertised her NSW coastal home on social media a month after dropping its ‘for sale’ price.

This month, she posted several professional photos of the Hymans Beach property to her Instagram Stories and grid.

“Are you already thinking about your beach holiday this summer?” the former breakfast presenter wrote in the caption.

The 47-year-old Farmer Wants A Wife presenter has had the three-bedroom, two-bathroom beachfront home on the market since December last year.

The TV veteran purchased the beach house in 2018 for $1.8 million and has since completed extensive renovations.

Samantha put her Jervis Bay home on the market eight months ago for $3.2 million, but the property has still not sold.

According to the listing on realestate.com.auThe price Armytage wanted to sell for in August was between $2.5 and $3 million.

The home “is under new management” as a vacation rental, she noted in her listing posts, tagging the family-owned business Latitude.

It is now listed on the website as one of many properties on the New South Wales South Coast.

Samantha previously rented the property through AirBnB on a more informal basis, but this decision to outsource rental management to an outside company indicates that she has no plans to sell it any time soon.

The glamorous TV presenter lives in the Southern Highlands and often promotes stays at the stunning waterfront home, which spans 7,000 square feet and sleeps six.

The property is ideal for an idyllic getaway and is available as a short-term vacation rental, costing a whopping $1200 per night, with a minimum stay of three nights.

The property offers stunning natural views and is a short walk from the iconic Hyams Beach and other local amenities.

There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms spread over two floors.

The beautiful architecture, refined design and attractive location make the house the perfect accommodation for couples and families.
