Samantha Armytage was spotted landing at Melbourne Airport on Friday ahead of her former Sunrise co-star Nathan Templeton’s funeral.

The Farmer Wants A Wife presenter, 47, wore a black blouse, a tan maxi skirt and a matching black jacket.

She wore a black beret, pearl earrings and a pair of knee-high boots.

Armytage and Templeton worked together for a number of years when she co-hosted the breakfast show while he served as a Melbourne correspondent.

Templeton suffered a medical episode while on a hiking trail near the Barwon River in Geelong last Tuesday afternoon, leaving behind wife Kate and their two young sons Jack and James.

He worked for Seven for more than twelve years.

He hadn’t been on Sunrise since late 2022 and worked behind the scenes last year.

Ny Breaking Australia understands Templeton had long struggled with personal issues, including depression, and received support.

Respected Channel Seven presenter Ann Sanders announced his death during the 11.30am bulletin.

Sanders remained calm as she delivered the sad news during the live broadcast.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends who remember Nathan as an admiring father and a wonderful friend,” she said.

Templeton studied journalism at Deakin University in Geelong, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications.

He was part of Seven’s Olympic broadcast team in Tokyo and Rio and the 2018 Commonwealth Games, as well as the Australian Open and Australian Swimming Championships.

Before joining Seven, he was a sports reporter at Ten News Melbourne.

The veteran presenter also worked for the Geelong Football Club as a ground announcer for home games at the GMHBA Stadium.
