Sam Ryder has reportedly parted ways with his record label just a year after he rose to fame in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.

And in 2022 he came second in the Eurovision Song Contest in Italy, with his pop hit Space Man giving Great Britain the best result in more than twenty years.

The singer-songwriter recently received his first-ever Emmy nomination for Ted Lasso’s original song Fought And Lost.

The nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced in July and the British singer got a nod.

It comes after Sam performed the single alongside actress Hannah Waddingham in front of an audience at the GRAMMY Museum.

The song is featured in the penultimate episode of Ted Lasso Season 3, Mom City, and was co-written with Tom Howe, Jamie Hartman, and Sam.

The song plays towards the end of the episode, acting as a bridge as Ted (Jason Sudeikis) has a heartfelt confrontation with his mother Dottie (Becky Ann Baker).

The next day, he is seen in his office revealing a “truth bomb” to Rebecca, but the credits roll before the viewers got an answer.

Jason, co-creator and star of Ted Lasso, 47, recently announced that the third season of his acclaimed football comedy — which premieres March 15 on Apple TV+ — will be the last.

The 75th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live coast-to-coast from Los Angeles on Monday, September 18.
