Sam Pang and Kitty Flanagan shock viewers as they down shots of liquor on Have You Been Paying Attention?

Sam Pang has been taking photos of Australian celebrities at this year’s Logies recently, but on Tuesday he was taking drunk-type photos.

The actor, 49, was in Have You Been Paying Attention? with actress Kitty Flanagan and other panelists.

Flanagan brought a bottle of alcohol sent to him by a Danish fan and themed after his international hit show, Fisk.

“A fan in Denmark actually sent me this liquor,” she said.

“It says on the front that it is a secret blend of eucalyptus, menthol, licorice and premium vodka. Many have tried to imitate this unique recipe but have failed.”

She joked that she had actually imitated the recipe, mixing “vodka and Dencorub”, before host Tom Gleisner said: “Oh ok.” Have you tasted it, Kitty?

Sam decided to try it, so Kitty pulled out two shot glasses and they both took shots from the bottle.

Ed Kavalee, another panelist, asked what the two men were going to applaud for, with Sam responding, “The show’s over.”

Sam then downed the shot in one gulp with a surprised Kitty saying “Sorry, maybe this is a good time to tell you it’s 30% alcohol.”

“Well, I’ll have three more then,” Sam joked.

Later, Tom Gleisner took the bottle from Sam when he saw him sneakily take another sip.

The funny moment comes weeks after fans speculated Sam had disappeared from TV screens following his Logies debut because the comedian savagely attacked some of the biggest names in Australian entertainment during his appearance.

Fans were discussing his whereabouts on internet forums after Pang missed his regular gigs on The Front Bar and Have You Been Paying Attention? this month.

“When is Sam Pang supposed to come back?” Looks like he won’t be back next week either,” someone asked on Media spy forum.

“Sam doesn’t have social media so that’s why he’s been quiet. But a few guests from HYBPA and The Front Bar mentioned he was on vacation,” said another.

Another fan supported the theory that the comic was simply on vacation, writing: “Marty (Sheargold) said Pangie was on vacation during the show.”

Sam’s raunchy gags at this year’s Logies included such high-profile targets as Channel Nine’s Karl Stefanovic and retired Sunrise host David Koch.

Channel Seven representatives told the Adelaide Advertiser at the time that Sam was taking a break and would “return in a few weeks” to AFL talk show The Front Bar.

Mick Molly, meanwhile, told the Advertiser that Sam was on holiday in Italy.

Channel Seven’s Logies was a ratings success for the network, attracting an impressive 877,000 viewers.

And fans have credited Sam for the show’s success, with many tuning into the Logies for the first time just to see him host the show.

Sam’s opening monologue included a dig at Married at First Sight, saying the controversial reality show was “a clear sign that we’re not going to make it a thing.”

He also joked about the lack of diversity in commercial television.

“I’m the first presenter in the history of the Logies to be half and half – half Channel Seven, half Channel Ten.

The broadcast of Seven’s Logies was a major success for the network after regaining the broadcast rights from Channel Nine last year.

“Let’s be honest, it’s just brilliant to have an Asian on Channel Seven, who’s not trying to smuggle live birds through border security,” he said in his Logies monologue.
