Sam Newman has launched a blistering attack on the ABC over their 'woke' New Year's Eve broadcast, which caused controversy across the country.

The year-end extravaganza sparked an uproar over a series of Indigenous acts that some viewers said politicized the annual fireworks celebrations.

The build-up to the 9pm children's fireworks display caused the most anger after complaints that the event had turned into a protest against 'Invasion Day'.

Now the former Footy Show host has spoken out and branded all ABC staff as '***white'.

“What's wrong with that station?” he said on his latest You Cannot Be Serious podcast. “Have you seen the disturbing image of New Year's Eve?

“Did you notice the nonsense they were going through?

“Before the fireworks, they had already degraded the country by showing an indigenous song or dance performed by second-rate actors and second-rate performers.”

Confused parents took to social media that evening to complain that Calling Country's fireworks star was not suitable for children.

The show had started with a welcome and smoking ceremony on three boats in the harbor, followed by a racially charged monologue.

That was followed by a performance by indigenous rap group '3 Percent' of their song 'Our People'.

The song criticizes Australians for voting 'No' to the Voice to Parliament, calling them 'sick' and saying the country is going 'backwards'.

Newman slammed the flagship ABC show – hosted by Charlie Pickering and Zan Rowe – for deliberately trying to divide the nation.

'How many times do they have to tell me? We had the yes and no votes – and defeated the yes vote by a landslide,” he said. 'They continue with absolute nonsense.

“I don't know how many times the public has to say that we're not interested in watching Indigenous dancers belittle the day on New Year's Eve.

'What's wrong with them? They have delusions of suitability, that station. We pay for that station and the nonsense they continue with.

“They are so arrogant, smug and pompous when they think they don't matter when it comes to what they portray and what they express about what is happening on the planet.”

He added: “The ABC is a completely irrelevant organization that spews nonsense about this great country we live in and tries to divide it at every opportunity.

“And when you're part of the ABC, you're crazy.”

An ABC spokesperson defended the broadcast in a statement to Daily Mail Australia.

The ABC is a proud supporter of all aspects of Australian culture and entertainment on New Year's Eve and every other night of the year,” the report said.
