Sam Neill has revealed the identity of the Australian star who has avoided him for almost 30 years.
The 75-year-old fan favorite says he is no longer on speaking terms with Judy Davis, who co-starred with Sam in the 1979 Australian hit film My Brilliant Career.
In that movie, the two young stars played characters caught up in a sizzling romance, but Sam now says things off-screen between the pair froze during filming.

According The Sydney Morning Herald Judy was asked to respond to Sam’s comments on Saturday, but has not commented so far.

Meanwhile, Sam admits he was a bit ‘in love’ after meeting Judy, who was just 24 when My Brilliant Career was made.
He goes on to explain in his memoir that Judy did not reciprocate his feelings.
Even though they made a series of movies over three decades, things were still awkward.

“It was predictably awkward working with Judy, but as always, I told myself it was worth it,” Sam writes of filming the 1996 black comedy, which flopped at the box office.
‘Towards the end, I realized that for some reason she wasn’t talking to me. Not even “good morning” in the makeup trailer.
Believing that Judy is a great talent, Sam says that he often took her side in on-set fights with the filmmakers, but eventually left the professional relationship.
“I often take time to realize these things,” he explains in the book, “but reluctantly came to understand that it really wasn’t worth it at all. You are welcome.
‘His last faithful follower ice cream. We have never spoken again. Sometimes I see her in a hallway and I see her look away from her abruptly. I have nothing to say to her anyway.
It comes after the Peaky Blinders star revealed his recent traumatic health journey in his memoir, which was published this week.
Sam, who is in remission after being diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, said she learned about her condition after noticing lumps in her neck.

Star Twelve was diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), which kills around 50 percent of patients within five years.
Non-Hodgkin lymphoma begins in the white blood cells and usually appears first in the lymph in the neck.
In his case, Sam says that he has been receiving chemotherapy to fight the cancer. He is now in remission.
However, it is expected that he will need chemotherapy treatment for the rest of his life.
