Sam Mac suffers embarrassing fail live on Sunrise after accidentally knocking over a $1000 light during boxing demonstration

Sam Mac suffered an unfortunate foul on Monday's episode of Sunrise after attempting to demonstrate his boxing skills live on air.

The weatherman, who is known for performing daring on-air stunts, hosted a live segment at a gym where he was taking private boxing lessons.

At one point, the trainer asked Sam to put his hands in a defensive position so he could punch his stomach.

Unfortunately, the meteorologist couldn't keep his balance when the trainer started hitting him, and he stumbled backwards into a high beam.

Onlookers gasped as they saw the light fall to the ground, as Sam exclaimed: “Oh my god!”

He turned to the trainer and added with a laugh, “That was all him! If the lawyers are watching, what's the name of this gym?'

Meanwhile, the Sunrise crew could be seen laughing as they watched the segment from the studio.

“I loved your face in that, Sam! You thought, “Oh! I'm in trouble!” said fill-in host Monique Wright.

Sam, meanwhile, picked up the light and confirmed that it wasn't broken.

'You know what I like? That everyone was worried about the light, not me,” he chuckled.

Sam also posted a clip of the embarrassing moment on Instagram, writing in the caption: “Today I learned the origins of the term 'turn off your lights.' I'm happy to report that the $1000 lamp has been fully restored and will be back in service tomorrow to provide me with my Kardashian glow.”

“Thank you for your thoughts and prayers (for the light) during this time,” he joked.
