It was a New Year's celebration to remember for Matildas captain Sam Kerr, who celebrated her engagement to fellow footballer Kristie Mewis in her hometown of Perth with family and friends.
Enjoying a well-deserved break from football, the loved-up couple were inseparable as they partied at the riverside Raffles Hotel under the Perth summer sun.
The couple shared a host of images from their joint Instagram after announcing their engagement in 2023.
Speculation has been rife since mid-September, when an Instagram post showed Mewis wearing an engagement ring.
Despite the swirling rumors, the couple chose to maintain a level of mystery, teasing fans and refusing to officially confirm the news.
The tension continued until Mewis decided to break their silence on November 9 by giving an exclusive interview to People Magazine.

It was a small but lively affair, with the couple enjoying time off from their hectic football schedules to celebrate their upcoming nuptials.
In this interview, Mewis not only confirmed the involvement for the first time, but also talked about Kerr's continued support, especially in the wake of the US team's elimination in the quarterfinals of the Women's World Cup.
Reflecting on their relationship, Mewis said, “My biggest supporter, always listening to me whining and complaining, all my crazy antics.”
The most recent post on Tuesday evening not only announced the engagement, but also revealed the precise date of this major milestone: September 1, 2023.
The couple were relaxed and casual in true Australian style at their engagement party, with Kerr giving a short speech that was received with loud cheers from the partygoers.
'[It is great to] celebrate all of us, family, friends, everyone,” she said.

Last week the happy couple was spotted doing some end of year shopping in Fremantle.
Sam, 33, opted for a casual and understated look, wearing a black T-shirt with a Jordan logo, paired with black shorts and white sneakers.
Opting for a makeup-free look, she tied her brunette locks behind her head as she sipped smoothies with Kristie.
Kristie, 32, who is American, wore a white crop top and black running shorts, initially styling her hair into a ponytail but later letting her blonde locks flow freely as they walked to the car.
The couple met some fans outside the mall, who gracefully posed and smiled for several photos.
