MailOnline has contacted Sam’s representatives for comment.
The arrest comes as Sam continues to deal with the grief of losing her younger sister Vanessa last year.
Vanessa died in March at the age of 50, nine days after collapsing at home following a heart attack.

Sam explained: ‘I had already been practicing (for MasterChef) with my sister for a few weeks as my sister is a fantastic cook.
‘She always did the best Cottage Pie ever and so we practiced together and I recorded it – she’s my younger sister, you can hear her bossing me around and saying, ‘You gotta be clear when you go, clear when you go!’
‘Unfortunately I lost my sister shortly after filming MasterChef.
“So yeah, my Cottage Pie was my sister’s recipe and I still have all her jars and all her mashed potato stuff.”
Sam added: “She’ll be so proud and she was so proud when I got the show because she’s a huge fan of the show.”
A representative for Sam said after Vanessa’s death in March: ‘Sam would like to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses for their care and support.

The news was just the latest sadness to hit Sam, who had only one full sister from her father’s first marriage to her mother, Carole Ann Wilken.
Former famous Big Brother Sam and Vanessa were known to be very close before the tragic death.
Just a month before Vanessa’s death, Sam opened up about the death of her partner Myra Stratton, who died in 2015 after a battle with cancer.
She confessed that she “didn’t want to show people” that she was in a “sad place” after death.
The singer and former glamor model admitted she struggled for two years ‘pretending’ she was happy and ‘couldn’t write songs’.
After falling in love all over again with her new wife Linda Olsen, 50, Sam revealed she’s only now ready to release new music, with an upcoming album on the way.
While attending the ICON Awards in support of the prostate cancer charity Prost8she told MailOnline exclusively: ‘When my ex-partner died I was with her for 16 years and that’s a very, very long time.
‘I couldn’t write any lyrics for two years. I just couldn’t write because everything I wrote was very sad and I didn’t want to show people that I was in that sad place.
“It was very difficult for me to actually put something out at that moment and go on stage and pretend to be happy. I was quite sad, but time heals and then I met Linda.
“I didn’t think at that age that I would ever meet another person that I would have a life with for the rest of my life, and I have and I’m in such a great place.”
