Sam Burgess talks about proposing to pregnant girlfriend Lucy Graham during romantic babymoon in Fiji: ‘I was very nervous’
Sam Burgess and Lucy Graham are expecting their first baby together in a few months.
And while they were on their babymoon in Fiji last week, their vacation got even more romantic when Sam got down on one knee and proposed.
The NRL star, 34, has now revealed he was extremely nervous when he proposed to the 33-year-old hairdresser from Leeds.
Appears on Channel 7 sunrise on Friday, Sam was asked how he proposed to Lucy and how he was doing.
Keeping the details private, he said: “I was actually really nervous, I dropped the ball so to speak, it was a great day, a great time away, we’re both really happy.”

Last Sunday, Lucy was spotted wearing a huge diamond ring on her left nuptial figure as the couple returned home to Sydney.
The bride-to-be then shared the news on her Instagram account on Tuesday.
She posted a carousel of photos from their lavish vacation with the caption, “Saaaaa cute.”
In the first photo, the hairdresser smiled broadly next to her fiancé as she flashed her ring.
On Thursday, Lucy then shared another selfie while showing off her new stone, with the caption, “Only me making sure to get my left hand in every picture possible.”
The couple, who are both from the United Kingdom, are expecting their first child together in September
Sam is said to have told his family and Rabbitoh’s colleagues about his plans to pop the question before the couple left for the trip, according to the Courier Mail.

They announced the news in March, just five months after going public with their relationship.
Sam, who is now an NRL coach, already shares two older children, Poppy, four, and Billy, three, with his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess (née Hooke).
Lucy recently made the decision to move permanently to Down Under from the UK and it is believed her pregnancy was the reason.
Born in West Yorkshire, England, Sam has known Lucy for about 20 years.
Her identity was revealed last October after he took her as his date to the premiere of Russell Crowe’s film Poker Face in Rome.
Lucy is also a co-founder of sustainable fashion label Sentenced, which launched in September 2019.
