Sam Burgess’ fiancée Lucy Graham’s surprising pop star past is revealed – and she supported Kylie Minogue

NRL star Sam Burgess announced his engagement to his gorgeous Welsh girlfriend Lucy Graham earlier this year.

And on Wednesday, it was revealed that Lucy, 33, was a member of British girl group The Ultra Girls, who featured heavily on The X Factor UK in 2009.

Graham sang and danced with three other young women in the girl power group inspired by The Spice Girls.

One of their career highlights was supporting Kylie Minogue on her Aphrodite World Tour in London in 2011.

Unfortunately, their debut single Girls Will Be Girls failed to chart despite the heavy publicity, ending Graham’s dream of becoming a pop star.

Lucy is heavily pregnant with her first child with Sam, and is due in September.

The former Rabbitohs player proposed to Lucy in June, just nine months after they went public with their relationship.

Burgess previously revealed that he was extremely nervous when he proposed to the hairdresser from Leeds.

When Sam appeared on Channel 7’s Sunrise shortly after arriving in Australia, he was asked how he proposed to Lucy.

While keeping the details private, he said: “I was actually really nervous, I dropped the ball, it was a great day, a great time away, we’re both really happy.”

Lucy seemed extremely happy with her engagement ring, as she shared photos of her showing off on Instagram.

Sam already shares two older children — Poppy, four, and Billy, three — with his ex-wife Phoebe Burgess (née Hooke).

Lucy recently made the decision to move Down Under permanently from Britain and it is believed her pregnancy was the reason.

Meanwhile, Sam seemed in good spirits on Wednesday when he was spotted on Bondi Beach after a fun day out with his nephew.

He provided an all black casual look in a jumper and shorts and paired with stylish sunglasses.
