Sam Armytage post promoting the return of Farmer Wants A Wife backfires as fans clamour for original host Natalie Gruzlewski to return

Sam Armitage returns to host Farmer Wants A Wife in 2024.

But not all fans are happy with the announcement after Armitage took over main hosting duties this year, demoting former leading lady Natalie Gruzlewski to co-host.

On Wednesday, the show’s official Instagram page posted Sam at the Channel Seven Upfronts where she talked about the new season of the upcoming dating show.

In the video, Sam shared her excitement as she revealed the latest details about the farmers and their suitors.

But it seems long-time viewers are unhappy with Samo’s ongoing role, after Natalie was replaced as host last year, and they made their feelings clear in the comments.

Several fans commented, ‘Bring Nat back’ as they begged Natalie to return as host.

“NAH, no more interest in the show since Nat was grossed out by the movie,” added another.

“Bring Natalie (Gruzhlewski) back please,” pleaded another.

Channel Seven confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that Natalie will also return to the show in 2024 as co-host of the hugely popular series.

“The 2024 season is ready to go, with more episodes, more farmers and Samantha Armitage and Natalie Gruzlewski on our farmers’ quest to find their true love,” the network said in a statement.

Daily Mail Australia has also contacted Natalie Gruzlewski and Sam Armitage’s representatives for comment.

Sam took over as host of FVAV in 2023, replacing Natalie – who continued to appear on the show in a reduced role.

In the first 15 minutes of the show, Natalie, 46, was only featured in a few shots where she interviewed past couples, while Samantha was heavily featured as she introduced the new contestants.

Sam joined the dating show as a ‘guest’ last year, but her smaller role has now been expanded as Natalie ‘reduces’ her duties.

Natalie introduced her own segment called ‘Nat’s Getaway’ during the 2023 season, with Sam ‘front and centre’ as the face of the franchise.

An insider recently told New Idea that Sam has successfully won over network executives by bringing her presenting skills to the reality TV realm.

“She is now in a position to get almost anything she wants from now on,” they said.

They added that Sam was an ambitious woman who was already thinking about further opportunities with Seven after she moved from breakfast show Sunrise to FVAV.

“Sam has plans. She has smartly stayed on the network’s radar knowing that if she lands and lands a starring role like in FVAV, the doors will open.’
