Michael Thomas appears to have had a heated confrontation with Panthers defensive end Derrick Brown in video captured from one of the two tunnels at Bank of American Stadium, with the Carolina star later suggesting he was ‘set up’ .
Images shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the Saints beat the Panthers, 20-17, Monday night. The football begins with Thomas walking down the tunnel before turning around to yell at Brown.
Returning to their teams’ locker rooms, respectively — one appears to be just coming out of a turn at the end of the ramp — Thomas, 30, and Brown, 25, confront each other, at which point Brown needs to be stopped from getting his hands on Thomas.
The video ends with security escorting Brown away from Thomas and presumably towards the Panthers locker room.
A day after the confrontation, Thomas shared on X: “They tried to frame me.”
