A self-confessed sadist who forced a man and woman to live like dogs, wear collars and call him ‘master’ while subjecting them to months of rape, flogging and abuse faces years in prison after being convicted.
Scott Lannister, 34, who described himself as one of Britain’s greatest ‘puppy masters’, attracted recruits across the UK, sending them tickets to travel to live with him in Stirling as ‘pets domestic”.
The Stirling High Court heard that an autistic young woman who completed his ‘package registration form’ online and moved from England to be with him was beaten with a studded leather flogger called ‘The Scorpion’.
She also slept on a dog bed in a closet, and was forced to wear a neoprene puppy mask and padlocked collar when she went out for “walks” around the city and Glasgow. She also wore a fuzzy clip-in tail.
She said that she “initially felt happy and carefree living as a puppy”, but the Lannister began kicking her around with steel-toed boots and repeatedly anally raped her “as a form of punishment”.
Scott Lannister, 34, who lured two ‘vulnerable’ adults into his home and then raped and abused them for months, has been told he faces many years in jail.
Video seized by police and played in court was described as showing “in graphic detail the pain and anguish of the woman, shackled and wearing a mask, Lannister flogged her breasts and buttocks.”
Finally Lannister put a noose around her neck tied to the ceiling and kicked over a stool she was standing on.
He passed out and woke up with one of his eyes swollen shut.
Lannister claimed that they had been doing “extreme breathing games” and when he was unable to remove the rope, he had to cut it, causing her to fall forward and smash face-first into the ground.
His injuries were so excruciating that a man who saw his face while delivering pizzas to Lannister’s “dirty and messy flat” immediately called the police.
The court heard that the woman, now just 21, stopped living with him that month, June 2020, after 10 months as his ‘domestic pet’.
However, she was soon replaced by another vulnerable autistic victim, then 26, who moved from London to the Lannister flat at Mayfield Court, Stirling, after Lannister paid for his ticket, met him at the train station, and immediately sent him back. equipped with a collar and a tag.
Lannister said she practiced ‘pup play’ and BDSM, defined by the jury at Stirling High Court (pictured) as bondage, discipline, domination and submission, and sadomasochism.
Giving evidence via a video link, he said: ‘I met him on an app called Telegram. He just offered and he had nothing better to do.
He said that the Lannister “started off very well” but then began to become “very aggressive”.
He said the Lannister forced him to wear a dog collar and puppy mask “pretty much 24/7”, and grabbed him by the collar and forced him to give him oral sex, in addition to having sex. anal with him without his consent.
He said that he had once suffered an epileptic fit and awoke to find Lannister performing such an act.
He added that Lannister had flogged his scrotum with a leather flail and beat him with a cane about three times a week.
On one occasion, the Lannister used a scalpel blade attached to a toothpick to carve AD, for ‘Amber Dragon’, a nickname, into his back.
The man said he had consented to the ‘obviously painful mark’ because he was so scared.
Both victims said Lannister, described as ‘long-term medical unemployed’, had forced them to hand over their benefit money. He used part of it to take a ‘puppy’ on a trip to Latvia in 2020.
Police who searched the Lannister flat recovered surgical blades, more than 20 dog collars and leashes, three ‘floggers’, a wooden cane, metal chains, rubber dog masks, a large padded dog cage, beds for dogs and dog tags.
Prosecutor John Keenan KC said the Lannister would “lure people into his home in Stirling because he knew they were vulnerable, and then when he had them there he would abuse and rape them.”
After a six-day trial that ended Thursday night, it took jurors just 90 minutes to convict Lannister of all the charges against him: three counts of rape and two counts of domestic abuse. He had denied the crimes and claimed that his victims practiced BDSM and had given his consent.
Keenan asked Lannister at one point: “You said you treated a ‘cub’ like a real dog, that you loved it like you would love a dog.” Does that involve hitting your dog?
Lannister replied: ‘No, a dog cannot consent.’
Judge Lord Scott adjourned sentencing over reports until March 16 in Aberdeen High Court and ordered that the Lannister, who showed no emotion, must continue in remand.
He also ordered that he be placed on the sex offender register indefinitely and warned him: “A custodial sentence of a certain length is unavoidable.”
Lannister lawyer Bert Kerrigan KC reserved mitigation.
The court heard that Lannister had previously been jailed for four years in Edinburgh High Court in 2007, for sexual offenses against children.
During the trial, Lannister, a flabby figure in an oversized blue sweatshirt, gave evidence in his own defense.
In a thin, nasal voice, he said that he “enjoyed the process of dominating someone.”
He said: ‘Just as a masochist enjoys receiving pain for pleasure, a sadist enjoys giving pain for pleasure.’
He stated that “puppy play” was “a more unusual and niche lifestyle item” and “part of the edge in LGBTQ+.”
He said members of his ‘pack’ became ‘collared or owned when they formed a master/pet relationship’ with him and if they lived with him they would have to ‘open doors and do other similar tasks in a manner commensurate with their position’.
When asked about the dog tags and collars he found at home, he said: “I almost always put the collar on at the train station or at the airport or wherever I first meet the pup.”
“A tag is similar to a wedding ring or an engagement ring in a normal description relationship.”
He said the large cage found in his apartment was “just another piece of perversion.”
He said: ‘Pups like things like cages, it attracts them.’
