Sacha Baron Cohen brings back Borat and Ali G to poke fun at Donald Trump and Kamala Harris on The Tonight Show

Sacha Baron Cohen brought back his alter egos Borat and Ali G during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday.

Cohen, 53, who recently said he may never reprise his Borat character, had a change of heart when he used his famous characters to mock presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

As the crowd cheered, he first transformed into Ali G, with a stuffed goatee, red hat and glasses, when Fallon asked him to moderate a debate between Trump and Harris.

“Yo, make yourself big Kimmel,” he told the host as he threw up signs with his hands, referencing Fallon’s late night rival Jimmy Kimmel.

“Yo, Mr. Trump, you were convicted of 32 crimes, you stole classified documents, you boned plenty of porn stars, and you never paid taxes. Respect! You are my hero.’

When Fallon asked him to address Harris, Ali G said, “I have a question for that fit cutie too. What are you doing later? A ‘good.’

“When I look at you on television, I’m going to have a massive election. Good!’

“Jojojo, can I just say to both of you: no matter what happens to me, I’m just glad the next president won’t have white skin.”

He then took off his disguise.

Fallon then asked him what Borat would do.

When Cohen complained that he thought they were going to talk about serious acting, Fallon responded, “Yeah, I mean, your acting is great. We’ll touch on: You’re a dramatic actor. But I… Borat interviews both people running for president, which would be very interesting to see.”

Cohen – who split from his wife Isla Fisher in April after 14 years of marriage – then donned a gray suit jacket and a mustache before trying to kiss Fallon. “Jimmy Fallers. Wawawa!’ he exclaimed.

Borat then made a rude hand gesture and pretended to squeeze a woman’s cleavage. “You have a woman in the audience,” he noted.

“Borat stop. There are indeed women in the audience. Borat, what would you ask Donald Trump?’

‘In my country we have KFC. Kazakh fried cat. Pussy licking good!’

After doing a quick dance, he asked, “Why is there a woman on stage?” Is it Stormy Daniels? She’s fun! Wawaweewa!’

He then turned to Harris and said, “You are a woman, a person of color, and married to a Jew. I advise you not to come to Kazakhstan, you have already committed three of the four crimes punishable by death.”

“Please don’t tell me you too had a sexy time with an underage bear.”

‘Sir. Trump, that reminds me that after your visit five years ago to the wonderful bear election, we paid the hush money to get the grizzly. Problem solved and thanks for your nuclear secrets in return. You scratch my back, I’ll scratch your hrum,” he said, before pulling off the mustache.

Cohen was on the show to promote his TV series Disclaimer, created by Alfonso Cuarón, which premiered on Apple TV+ on October 11.

It comes days after he said he may never bring back alter ego Borat after he was forced into hiding to escape a pro-gun gang.

The comedy star reprized his role of Borat Sagdiyev for the 2020 comedy satire Borat Subsequente Moviefilm.

However, he angered pro-gun activists when he appeared at a rally and mocked them on camera.

Recalling the terrifying moment he had to hide from the group, Sacha told the SmartLess podcast: ‘The last one got so extreme. After that arms meeting I was basically on the run.

‘I was followed by some kind of militia. I went from safe house to safe house for about four days. It got so crazy that you realize that it will take a certain amount of skill and preparation, but you will also get lucky. And at some point your luck runs out.”

The actor survived the ordeal but hinted that he would not resurrect Borat, explaining that he only made his 2020 film after feeling compelled to comment on that year’s US presidential election.

He continued: “I think the danger element meant I just didn’t want to do it again. I thought I had to do it before those elections. I had to do it. I was terrified of what was going to happen.”
