- Peter Malinauskas’ wife, Annabel, is having a baby in November
South Australian Prime Minister Peter Malinauskas has announced that his wife Annabel, a corporate lawyer, is expecting their fourth child in November.
Mr. Malinauskas increased Twitter on Monday to announce the imminent arrival of the latest addition to their already busy household.
“I am very happy to share the news that Annabel and I are expecting a baby in November,” he wrote.
“Sophie, Jack and Eliza are just as excited as we are to find out if they’re having a brother or sister. Annabel is doing really well, actually I don’t know how she does it!’

The Malinauskas children are fairly evenly split, with Sophie aged eight, Jack aged five and Eliza aged three.
The Prime Minister said Eliza is extremely excited to finally have a younger sibling.
“She talks about it the most. The other two are excited about it too, but Eliza is very curious,’ Mr Malinauskas said.
“She’s become a real talker in the last few months, so she kind of asks ‘baby, mama, tummy, baby come out?'”
However, there won’t be a gender reveal party as the couple isn’t interested in finding out before the baby is born.
“We’ve done the surprise option the last three times so we’re going to try to be consistent so we have no idea,” he told the Advertiser.

Mr Malinauskas said they just hope the baby is a healthy baby and his wife has a healthy pregnancy.
He said the transition from three to four kids won’t be much of a change as their home is “quite hectic and chaotic” anyway.
Deputy Prime Minister Susan Close becomes Acting Prime Minister when Mr Malinauskas takes paternity leave when the baby is born.
Dr. Close was the first of the prime minister’s colleagues to learn the news of the pregnancy, and the rest of the state government’s cabinet was informed last week.
