S Club’s Rachel Stevens breaks her social silence with a HUGE announcement

Rachel Stevens explained her recent absence from Instagram as she took to the platform with a big announcement on Friday.

The S Club star, 45, revealed that she had been busy talking about her upcoming autobiography, and shared how excited she was to finally share a glimpse of the cover with her followers.

Rachel first announced the release of her memoir last year, just weeks afterward former band member Hannah Spearritt wrote her own book titled Facing the Music.

In addition to posting Rachel Stevens’ cover of Finding My Voice, A Story of Strength Self-Belief and S Club, she also shared a sweet throwback snap with a message to her fans.

The mum-of-two wrote: ‘Hello everyone, I know it’s been very quiet in here for a while… It’s been packed to say the least!’

‘I thought I would share this little retrospective with you as I have been working hard on a very exciting and personal project over the past year.’

“I’ve literally been in mom mode or writing mode and it’s been a lot but it’s almost here!! Eek. I can’t wait to share my story with all of you and send lots of love.”

It comes after her bandmate Hannah, 42, decided not to join S Club on their tour and admitted she doesn’t know if she will ever sing with the band again.

She had to call in lawyers following her sudden departure from the group’s reunion tour following the tragic death of ex-bandmate and friend Paul Cattermole.

And in an effort to boost her finances after a year of instability – including a brief spell of homelessness – Hannah has in a bold move pushed back the publication date of her book to coincide with the start of the S Club reunion tour.

When Rachel first announced the news last year, she wrote: “Hello everyone. I’m SO excited to finally announce that I’ve been working behind the scenes on a brand new, very personal project… I’ve written my very first book!

Rachel and Brendyn first met on Dancing On Ice in 2022 as he was Rachel’s partner.
