S Club’s Hannah Spearritt misses ‘several’ Dancing On Ice training sessions amid ‘fears’ for her stint on the show

Hannah Spearrit has reportedly missed 'several' Dancing On Ice training sessions, leaving TV bosses fearing for her time on the show.

The 42-year-old S Club 7 singer is said to have fallen behind in her training schedule with professional partner Andy Buchanan as she recently shared news of her health problems.

The tough competition requires long hours of training as celebrities must adapt to the complex nature of skating and dancing on the ice.

The first live show will start in two weeks, which means every rehearsal is more important than ever.

'She has missed a number of rehearsals with Andy and there are fears she won't be ready.

“All performances are live, so any mistakes, accidents or, in the worst case, falls are captured live on camera.”

Although Hannah has dancing experience from her S Club days, bosses have warned that taking to the ice is very different.

In the 2024 series she competes against Amber Davies, actors Ryan Thomas and Claire Sweeney, ex-boxer Ricky Hatton and presenter Adele Roberts.

During rehearsals in November, it appeared she had taken a fall mid-training.

Earlier this year, Hannah pulled out of the S Club 7 reunion tour following the death of band member Paul Cattermole.

She has also described her struggle with an autoimmune disease that left her unable to cook for herself or board trains.

The S Club star said she has had a “traumatic” year amid her health problems and the tragic death of her S Club bandmate and ex-boyfriend in April.

Hannah subsequently left the S Club tour saying 'everything' changed for her after Paul's death, admitting she had suffered 'crippling panic attacks' before quitting.

Now Hannah has spoken about her struggle with an autoimmune disease, which caused symptoms such as chronic fatigue, brain fog and dizziness.

She said she first started experiencing similar symptoms in 2013 after getting breast implants, and she and her husband Adam Thomas believe the condition was caused by two miscarriages in 2022 and stress.

Hanna said Hello! Magazine: 'I don't think I realized how much I had deteriorated because it happened so gradually, I had no energy and couldn't even get on the train or cook food.

'That also had consequences for my mental health. Because I have always been a physical and sporty person. Only when you get better and can do things you like again do you realize how bad it was.'

Hannah said she was only able to take part in the 2024 series of Dancing On Ice thanks to an expert in regenerative medicine, who she said used a serum from her own blood to help stabilize her condition.

The star – who shares daughters Taya, five, and Tora, three, with Adam – admitted she has been “traumatic” this year due to her health problems and the death of her bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul.

“It's been a tough and challenging year, and things have happened that have been quite traumatic,” Hannah said.

Hannah recently released a memoir Facing the Music and admitted it wasn't easy looking back on her life while grieving Paul's death, but said she remembers their early S Club days fondly.

Hannah previously spoke about leaving the S Club reunion tour after Paul's death and shared how it went down gave her time to think about whether this was the right thing to do.

She said in October The sun: 'Will I ever perform with them again? I just don't know, I'm glad the tour is still going and the songs are living on, but now I'm looking forward, not back.”
