He also marveled at the fact that he and the celebrity judges have been working together for so long.

“We are in our sixth season together,” Seacrest shared. This is more of a statement. How crazy is it to think that we’ve already been doing this for six years and we’re still able to put up with each other?

He noted, “Everyone enjoys everyone.”

As they shared their crazy memories of the audition, the group recalled meeting contestants with the same names as themselves.

“We’ve had contestants named Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan,” Perry shared.

“I knew a Ryan Seacrest,” Seacrest chimed in. ‘I met them. I met her.

A startled Perry asked, ‘Is your name Ryan Seacrest?’ to which Seacrest confirmed: “His name is Ryan Seacrest.”

Perry added: ‘We met. He was wild.

Seacrest has also spent the last several years working on Live with Kelly and Ryan along with co-host Kelly Ripa.

He worked alongside the actress on the morning show for six seasons before announcing his departure a few weeks ago.

The On the Air host will say on the show until spring. He will be replaced by Ripa’s actor husband, Mark Consuelos.

“I have made the decision to make this my last season on Live with Kelly and Ryan. Which is bittersweet,” Seacrest said on the show.

A somber Ripa, who has been a mainstay of the show since 2001, grabbed his arm and said that she “completely understood his decision-making.”

In an Instagram post shortly after the announcement, he said: “I’m going to miss my wife from work and all the laughs we shared.”

“When I signed up to host Live in 2017, it was meant to be for 3 years, but I loved the job and working with Kelly so much that I extended my time and made the decision last year to stay for one more season.

“I’ve been grateful to be able to share a cup of coffee with our viewers every day, one of the best parts of the concert.”
