Wrexham chairman Ryan Reynolds delighted punters by buying everyone a round in a pub on Friday evening.
The Hollywood icon and half of the League One club’s famous ownership team were joined by another star of the silver screen, Channing Tatum, at the Fat Boar pub in Wrexham.
The Deadpool actor was seen addressing the cheering crowds, footage from Wrexham.com shows. The 48-year-old joked that the pub would ‘might bring in another hundred people’ after revealing he would pay for a round of drinks for everyone in attendance.
However, Reynolds was keen to emphasize that he could not stay long as he tried to make the most of his ‘night off’ away from his four young children.
He was later seen in a photo posted by the pub next to Tatum, who also starred in the recent hit film Deadpool and Wolverine.
The blockbuster film, which has grossed more than $1 billion since its release in July, also stars Wrexham striker Paul Mullin as Welshpool. Warning: explicit language.

Phil Parkinson’s team had an excellent start to the season and are in second place after 19 games
“I’ll buy a round for everyone here,” Reynolds said. “Right now, another hundred people might come in, but that’s fine.
‘And then I’m going to bed straight away. I have four kids and this is a night off where I just go to bed when I want, which I’m really excited about.
‘And I’m also really looking forward to tomorrow. I hope you’ll all watch and, you know, in town, right?’
Phil Parkinson’s side have made little work of the third tier in their first season in the division in two decades. Wrexham are second on goal difference behind surprise leaders Wycombe.
The team will take on Cambridge at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday afternoon.
