Tozer revealed on social media that his father was diagnosed with leukemia on Saturday and had to undergo brain surgery the following day.

“Sunday night he had brain surgery, which turned out positive, and last night the unthinkable happened.
“Unfortunately, this all happened because he left it too late. He subconsciously masked the fact that he was [in] full agony. “Go check it out” we said regularly.
“He was just too afraid of what it could be. Thanks Dad. Our last words together will stay with me forever. I love you. I hope we’ve all made you proud.’
In response to his emotional message, the club expressed their condolences on social media, tweeting, “I’m sorry to hear this. Our thoughts are with you and your family.’
Tozer helped Wrexham to promotion from the National League last season as the Welsh club ended their 15-year spell in non-league football.
