Ryan Reynolds reveals cute nickname his kids have given Deadpool & Wolverine costar Hugh Jackman… after sharing name of 4th child with Blake Lively

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have such a close bond that Ryan’s children affectionately call his best friend “Uncle Hughey.”

Ryan, 47, shared a heartwarming story about his four children’s relationship with his Deadpool & Wolverine co-star Hugh, humorously recounting how his four-year-old daughter Betty playfully “attacked” the Australian actor backstage at the film’s New York premiere.

“They all have a little bit of a crush on Uncle Hughey here, so it worked out well,” Ryan said. Additional on Monday. ‘He got attacked backstage by Betty, who thinks she has claws, so she goes after him. I actually have to give her a little time-out.’

Hugh joined the conversation, referencing his character Wolverine’s superhero powers, joking, “I think she thinks I have healing powers.”

The hilarious anecdote comes after Ryan revealed the name of his and wife Blake Lively’s youngest child.

At the film’s premiere, Ryan took the stage to express his love to the Hollywood couple’s four children: daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, and their fourth child, Olin.

Ryan and Blake welcomed their fourth child on February 12, 2023, but have not yet revealed the gender of their newest addition.

“I want to start by thanking my wife Blake, who’s here. I want to thank my kids James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who’s here,” Ryan said onstage at the premiere Monday night, according to Variety.

“I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic — that is, the content of the film — that happens to you in your wonderful lives,” he added.

The stars never officially announced the birth of their fourth child. Instead, they shared a photo of themselves on February 12, 2023, in tight jeans and a crop top without a baby bump.

Blake also revealed in the caption that she had had her baby: “Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023. Been busy,” she wrote.

The name reveal also comes after Ryan and Blake opened up about their plans to expand their family.

Ryan then went on to explain once again how close his children are to Hugh, joking that they “like” him more.

“My kids like Hugh more than me,” he joked when The Greatest Showman actor got involved, “especially as a parent.”

The father of four said the 55-year-old actor’s films are watched continuously in his home.

“They watched more of The Greatest Showman than the editor of The Greatest Showman,” Ryan said.

“Sometimes I come home and see that guy acting it out with them and it’s really amazing,” he added of Jackman’s relationship with their children.

Blake and Ryan tied the knot in 2012 at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, after meeting on the set of Green Lantern in 2010.

They first became parents in December 2014 with the birth of daughter James. Ines was born two years later on September 30, 2016.
