Ryan Reynolds reflects on nearly a decade of Deadpool – as latest sequel continues breaking records with ‘BONKERS’ second weekend box office numbers

Ryan Reynolds reflected on the nearly 10 years he’s spent playing Deadpool, as his latest sequel Deadpool & Wolverine continues to break records at the box office.

The 47-year-old Canadian actor, who recently revealed which co-star he had a falling out with on the set of Deadpool & Wolverine, took issue with his Instagram on Saturday to celebrate this milestone with a series of snapshots from the superhero film.

Many of the photos offered a behind-the-scenes look at the Marvel blockbuster, which grossed more than $390 million in the United States in just 10 days and enjoyed one of the biggest second weekends in history, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“We’ve been able to do this for almost ten years. Ten years ago we would have happily considered these AMAZING second weekend numbers as opening weekend,” Ryan began his heartfelt message.

He continued, “The way #DeadpoolAndWolverine captured the moment is hard to process. It kind of feels like it’s happening to someone else. Either way, making these films is more fun than anyone has a right to. I can’t help but take a moment to look back in time.”
