Reynolds co-owns the club with fellow actor Rob McElhenney, who bought it for £2m in 2021, and has breathed new life into the club.

They have struggled out of the National League for several years, but currently top the division and are favorites for promotion this season.

Reynolds flew to Wales for the game, expressing his love for the club and how he aims to lead the club to the Premier League.

‘I’m standing among legends here!’ Reynolds said, speaking on the BBC.

It has been the best experience of my entire life, despite my family. It’s going to be a multi-decade project, and everything involved is just magical. We wanted to get involved.

Reynolds then went on air to discuss his long-term future aspirations for the club.

“We looked at a lot of different clubs, but Wrexham just spoke to us, the club was already perfect, it just needed a bit of awareness.” We are not here to make decisions on the field. I see this place as a church. It has a special place in my heart and it is spreading all over the world.

“The plan is to get to the Premier League. If it’s theoretically possible, why not? That’s the goal. Realistically, the fact that we’re in this church, if I were Sheffield United, I’d take this game very seriously. .

A television series, ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, went global, highlighting the impact Reynolds and McElhenney have had on the club.

Reynolds, who was seen on camera speaking with his partner, who stayed behind in the United States, discussed the numbers his side is starting to put up around the world.

“We sold 24,000 shirts this year,” he said. ‘Many went to North America and Canada. It’s been amazing. The reception abroad has been the most surprising. The part I find most gratifying is the support from outside the club, Wrexham has become a tourist destination.

I’m running around like a caged lion. This is an extraordinary day. It’s a classic David versus Goliath story. This is football, anything can happen. I think there is a chance for Sheffield United to pull off a miracle today.

Mark Hughes, a former Welsh international, echoed the actor’s views.

He said: ‘The impact the guys have had since they came here has been phenomenal. I’m a Wrexham boy, I’m from the streets, and everybody’s been talking about it, everybody’s delighted.
