“I’m sure Hugh is going to have a field day with this one,” the 46-year-old told the Binge Guide. Stellar magazine this weekend.

Hugh is a lot like the many dancers and musical talents we rubbed shoulders with every day in this movie, in that he’s one of those people who makes it all seem a little effortless and fizzy.

“And I have none of that,” said the Van Wilder star.

Ryan stars with Will Ferrell in a Christmas movie musical, Spirited, and says learning to sing and dance for comedy is the hardest thing he’s ever done.

Reynolds, who performed countless stunts in action movies like Deadpool, said, “I understand the music and dance of fight scenes.

“I’ve done that my whole career. I have shorthand with that.”

Still, he mused, “I can memorize a pretty complicated fight sequence faster than most, I’d say.”

“But a dance number just starts from ground zero. For me it was really challenging.

“I moved very slowly at first and I’m not entirely sure I got much faster by the end, but luckily it’s not a live show so we’re getting several cracks at any one time.

“I have to say, singing and dancing is so much harder than anything I’ve ever tackled.”
