Ryan Reynolds’ Aussie double takes advantage of his movie star good looks to snap up a $1.34m luxury apartment in Brisbane
An Australian man who is the spitting image of Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds has revealed how surprisingly his movie star looks helped him buy a property.
Brisbane influencer Shaun Birley, 35, said he was able to buy a $1.34 million estate in Queensland after receiving several messages of support due to his resemblance to the Hollywood star, 47.
“I wish I could say he could possibly be my half-brother, but no. The funny thing is I just don’t see it and it’s brought up by people every day,” he said Realty.com.au.
His resemblance to the Marvel favorite is so uncanny that he was once approached by producers who asked him to appear as Reynolds’ body double in a commercial.
‘Unfortunately we had a conflicting schedule, I missed an advertisement with Ryan in Abu Dhabi. The producers said they will keep me in mind for future work, which is cool.”

Birley put the money from his influencer endorsements to good use and bought a luxury apartment project in 2022, purchasing a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment for $1.34 million.
“Those guys are doing a great job. It has gone up quite a bit and has been revalued at $1.7 million. That was completed at the end of last year, it is an investment.’
Meanwhile, Reynolds spent last year filming Deadpool 3 in England with his best friend Hugh Jackman.

Jackman appears to have surrounded himself with close friends as he says goodbye to his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness.
As he navigates the divorce process, the Hollywood star, 55, is spending quite a bit of time with good friend Ryan.
In October, he shared a photo of the two on his Instagram Stories, the Wolverine star drawing a love heart around the actor’s face.

A few weeks earlier, the duo had also arranged to attend a New York Jets game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
They joined Taylor Swift as they prepared to watch the pop star’s new love, Travis Kelce, with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Reynolds will play the anti-hero title character in the Deadpool series, while Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine from the X-Men films.
Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit theaters in November 2024.
