Potapova
Clearly she had her issues the first time at Goodwood, but she has performed well in defeat in her last two starts, most recently in Group 2 at Royal Ascot.
Those performances wouldn’t be on the same level as her outstanding defeat of the Grande Dame in this race last season, but they weren’t that far off, and she has a leading chance in this at best, especially if we gain decent ground. , which she enjoys.

It looks like he didn’t put in a bad performance at York last week after a break in the first blinkers and he ran well after an even shorter turnaround than the one at Kempton earlier in the season. He certainly has his shot at 91, although this seems like a pretty big handicap.

I think he’s probably gotten a lot better form than a nose win here on his debut would suggest, but the fact that he was able to win at all was hugely promising. And the form has worked out very well for the most part.
A few have come out and been beaten, but the third, Arabian Crown, has since won twice and the fifth, Devil’s Point, has also scored after that and here too he actually takes his chance.
You would hope and expect that our colt has also improved in experience, and we look forward to seeing how he measures up in this higher class. I don’t think he will be disgraced, let’s put it that way, especially as the race is quite time consuming compared to the five day stage.

Classic song
I have ridden her on her debut at Goodwood and this well related Lope De Vega filly has clearly developed very well there. She handled her task well in the closing stages and finished second behind the experienced form horse Ornellaia, who has since finished second. in a group 2 in Deauville.
If she can build on that debut run then she has a clear winning chance here, although Beautiful Love has also taken on some good form on her debut at Newmarket and we also have some very well-behaved newcomers here, not least of all Inherit, who doing good.

Paladin
He obviously ran poorly last time, but you can probably forgive him for underperforming on the rough terrain of Haydock, and a score of 78 seems fair enough compared to his previous win on soft terrain at that track.
His pedigree shows he should be way off the mark, but he’s got a question to answer after that run last time and the expected faster terrain is largely unknown despite everything he’s run on it on his debut.

Fast acquisition
All his best form comes on good or faster ground so the less rain the better for him from here on out and he’s clearly getting here in a good way.
He has also been rated a lot higher in the past, despite having raised the handicap due to his good recent form, so he has every chance in this sprint handicap.
