Former Manchester United star Ryan Giggs was pictured in the Salford City dugout during Saturday’s FA Cup tie with Shrewsbury.
Ex-Wales boss Giggs – who also made four appearances as United’s interim manager in 2014 – is co-owner of League Two Salford, along with former team-mates David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers, Gary and Phil .
Giggs became Salford’s director of football earlier this year, taking his first job since leaving his position with Wales in June 2022.
His departure from the Welsh national team came before he was acquitted of charges that he assaulted his ex-girlfriend and her sister.
Since his appointment as director of football at Salford, Giggs has generally kept away from the pitch and spent matchdays in the stands.

According to The sunGiggs could become more involved in the playing side.
There is certainly no indication that Giggs plans to retire and resume his playing career, but the 50-year-old could apparently be ready for a more hands-on role.
Salford’s win over Shrewsbury on Saturday came courtesy of two goals from another experienced midfielder as 33-year-old Matty Lund found the net in the fifth minute and then again just before half-time.
