Ryan Garcia reacts to Donald Trump verdict: Troubled boxer weighs in after former President is found guilty of 34 felony charges

Troubled boxer Ryan Garcia has given his opinion on the outcome of the trial of former US President Donald Trump.

Trump was found guilty in a Manhattan courtroom on Thursday afternoon of 34 felonies for falsifying company records.

Garcia, who has been photographed with the ex-president in the past, is a supporter of his and tweeted that he would remain in the November general election.

“Just like that, the new president,” Garcia tweeted. “He’ll still win, just watch [USA flag emoji]’.

He followed that up with, “Donald T. If you are reading this, we are with you, stay strong.”

Ryan Garcia has tweeted his support for convicted felon and former President Donald Trump

Social media responded to the post, with many drawing a parallel to Trump’s felony convictions and Garcia’s multiple positive tests for performance-enhancing drugs in his recent fight with Devin Haney.

“A PED user supporting a convicted felon, why not? [surprise] me LMAO,” one user wrote.

Another said: ‘Cheaters love Cheaters!’

Both tweets are references to recent news that both of Garcia’s drug test samples tested positive for the PED ostarine.

But tonight, Garcia’s legal team has claimed that a new series of tests proves his innocence and that the other samples may have been contaminated.

“Test results from samples of two supplements declared by Ryan Garcia on the VADA doping control forms signed on April 19 and 20 showed positive for Ostarine contamination,” the statement said.

“This confirms what we have consistently maintained: Ryan was a victim of supplement contamination and never intentionally used banned or performance-enhancing substances. Any claims to the contrary, questioning Ryan’s integrity as a clean fighter, are unequivocally false and defamatory.

“Throughout his career, Ryan has voluntarily submitted to numerous tests, all of which returned negative results, underscoring his commitment to fair and clean competition.

‘In addition, multiple negative tests in the run-up to his fight against Haney confirm his clean record. The ultra-low levels of Ostarine detected in his samples, in one billionth of a gram, along with his clean hair sample, prove contamination rather than intentional ingestion.

‘The recent test results confirm this. A press conference will be held next week to provide more insight and answer questions. More details about the conference will be announced in the coming days.”
