Ryan Garcia has been expelled from the World Boxing Council by president Mauricio Sulaiman after posting a series of racist insults on social media.
The comments follow a day of disturbing social media activity from the 25-year-old American, in which he used the word “n****”, made derogatory comments about Muslims and referred to human trafficking and pedophilia.
Garcia, 25, is currently serving a one-year suspension from the New York State Athletic Commission after testing positive for the PED ostarine prior to his convincing win over Devin Haney on April 20 at the Barclays Center.
Sulaiman posted on X on Thursday evening: ‘In the exercise of my authority as President of the WBC, I hereby prohibit Ryan Garcia from participating in any and all activities within our organization.
“We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan’s well-being as he has rejected multiple attempts to seek our help with mental health and substance abuse.”

Sulaiman said Garcia “rejected multiple attempts to help us with mental health and substance abuse”
Garcia later apologized, writing, “I was trolling, I want the killing to stop.”
“I love everyone, sorry if I offended you.”
Garcia’s family also distanced themselves from the boxing world, saying his recent antics “do not reflect his true character or beliefs, or those of our family.”
Our family unequivocally does not support any statement [Garcia] “What Ryan really is and how he was raised is not consistent with his race or religion,” the family’s statement said.
“Those who know Ryan can attest to this fact. Ryan has been open about his ongoing struggles with mental health over the years and as a family we are committed to ensuring and encouraging him to receive the support he needs to navigate this very challenging time and address both his immediate and long-term well-being.”
Earlier this week, Garcia revealed he “finally” has a girlfriend, before posting photos with a mystery woman on his X account.
While his boxing career is on hold, Garcia is still busy dating. He claims, “I finally have a girlfriend who is awesome.”
Just over an hour later, Garcia posted photos with the alleged partner. Garcia shared a selfie with the curly brunette and another snap of them kissing.
“I’m happy,” Garcia wrote in the caption as his “girlfriend” showed off her neck tattoos and tongue piercings. The Victorville, California native also appears to have a hickey on his neck.

Garcia’s love life has been a rollercoaster since he filed for divorce from ex-wife Andre Celina in January. The left-hander infamously announced their split an hour after they celebrated the birth of their second child, Henry.
On February 28, Garcia announced that he was dating Australian OnlyFans model Mikaela Testa. Less than a month later, King Ryan was “looking for a new girlfriend” after saying he was in love with the model.
Garcia then went on a series of public flings as his search for a significant other continued. After going viral for flirting with Bobbi Althoff on her podcast, Garcia tried to score dates with singer Billie Eilish and MMA influencer Nina Drama through X.
While fans were concerned about his behavior leading up to the fight with Haney, Garcia claimed he had proposed to Australian porn star Savannah Bond and posted a video of their engagement on X.
Bond watched Garcia dominate Haney from a distance and showed her support on social media. However, four days after his lopsided performance, Garcia was spotted with another mystery woman in Miami.
Garcia was seen with two other unknown women on Wednesday before beating up his unnamed girlfriend, who is believed to be a friend.
After three knockdowns against Haney, Garcia scored the majority decision in Brooklyn. However, after testing his PED-positive samples, the bout was overturned to a no contest.
Since then, he’s been arrested in Beverly Hills, hung out with the Trump family, tried his hand at stand-up comedy, played in a star-studded poker tournament and partied with the Florida Panthers after winning the Stanley Cup.
