“And so the more we can bring that to light, and the more comfortable we are with that, I think that’s a positive step in the right direction.”

He also gave props to the show’s creators for their “great care and respect” in dealing with the topic of mental health.

Meanwhile, Ryan added that viewers can also laugh at the show’s quirky premise.

The series stars Corr alongside former Neighbors star Bob Morley who plays Nate, who is trapped in limbo after committing suicide.

Nate pursues the grieving Charlie as he tries to find a way to continue on his way to the other side.

Meanwhile, Nate learns he must complete a special task if he wants to escape limbo – though he doesn’t know what this “unfinished business” actually is.

“I’ve never seen a show that tries to tackle these kinds of issues in the same way,” Ryan told Yahoo.

“My reaction to the script was I shed a tear, and I laughed, and I really liked the pace it moved, it was a real page turner,” he added.

Ryan explained that despite the dark themes, the show was light and hopeful.
