Ruth Langsford’s friends have reportedly insisted there is ‘no chance’ she will reunite with husband Eamonn Holmes.
The presenter, 64, and Eamonn, 64, announced their plans to divorce last week after 14 years of marriage and 27 years together.
And as Ruth is reportedly left hurt after discovering Eamonn is being comforted by a woman in her 40s amid their divorce, who he has befriended.
Ruth has taken an extended break from Loose Women during the divorce and has recently discovered that Eamonn is being comforted by a younger female friend – a blonde divorcee and relationship counselor – with whom he has been on a ‘series of outings’, according to The sun.
The pair have reportedly struck up a friendship in recent years and according to the publication, Eamonn has taken her on a safari park trip, to a Manchester United match and a Beyoncé concert.

Eamonn has reportedly become close to the woman over the past year.
And a friend has now told it The mirror: ‘Ruth was hurt when she heard about Eamonn’s friendship with another woman, but she is strong and she will be back soon with a smile on her face and doing her best, as she always does.
‘She needs some time to regroup after everything that’s happened, which is understandable, but she plans to return to Loose Women in July with renewed vigor.’
The friend also insisted there was ‘no chance’ the pair would ever get back together.
According to reports, Eamonn and the woman connected on social media after they both became involved with a mental health charity.
A spokesperson for Ruth said: ‘Ruth has booked holiday time with Loose Women and extended her leave. She looks forward to returning to the show in due course.”
Eamonn and Ruth recently unveiled they are headed for divorce after-work commitments “took their marriage in different directions.”

And reports emerged for the first time on Saturday that Eamonn is being comforted over the break-up of his marriage by the blonde divorcée in her 40s who is also a relationship therapist.
According to The Sun, Eamonn has been close to an unknown woman since last year, after they first came into contact several years ago.
Although it is not said that she is the reason for the breakdown of the marriage, it is clear that Ruth did not know her until recently and she will not appear on TV again this week.
A source said The sun: “Ruth will not appear on screen again this week.
‘She has decided to extend her break from ITV so will not return to the Loose Women panel just yet.’
