Ruth Langsford ‘calls in a “fierce” divorce lawyer’ in her acrimonious split from Eamonn Holmes – as he is seen on holiday with new girlfriend

Ruth Langsford has hired a ‘fierce’ divorce lawyer following her bitter split from ex-husband Eamonn Holmes. The GB News presenter was spotted in Ibiza yesterday brutally grabbing the bum of his new lover Katie Alexander.

As reported by The sunCatherine Costley has been called by Loose Women presenter Ruth, 64, who wants to end her 14-year marriage to Eamonn, also 64, through a financial settlement.

According to The Sun, Costley is known for her tough approach to divorce settlements, saying all women should have an emergency fund when they end a relationship.

The divorce lawyer was once a pupil of ‘Steel Magnolia’ Baroness Fiona Shackleton, Britain’s most famous divorce lawyer who represented Charles during his split from Diana in 1996.

Baroness Shackleton has also worked with A-list stars including Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher and Madonna. She was once doused with water in court by a furious Heather Mills while representing the Beatles legend during the couple’s 2008 divorce.

Eamonn proved he was thoroughly enjoying his new romance with his 42-year-old girlfriend Katie, who is a relationship therapist, as the two went on a luxury holiday together.

Eamonn’s ex-wife Ruth was reportedly shocked by the holiday, which came just four months after the former golden couple announced they were divorcing.

However, Eamonn, still wearing his wedding ring, put all thoughts of his wife behind him as he came to terms with the fate of his new love.

The presenter looked completely in love as he looked at his girlfriend, who looked stunning in a long, black mini dress.

The Northern Irish presenter has opened up about his new relationship and the pair are pictured spending two holidays together last summer.

In May, Ruth and Eamonn were said to be in the process of divorcing after work-related commitments ‘took their marriage in different directions’.

A spokesman for the couple said: ‘Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed that their marriage is over and that they are in divorce proceedings.’

Eamonn and Ruth, who married in 2010 after a 13-year relationship, are ‘determined to remain friends and maintain the friendship’.

Ruth Langsford’s team declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.
