Location Rutafu-um Shrine

The Rutafu-um Shrine is located in the Hebra Mountains, in the Hebra Mountain Northwest Cave. The entrance is located by coordinates (-2988, 3182, 0570)and the nearest landmark is called the cabin Selmie’s Place (-2958, 3136, 0571), where a large bonfire burns at the entrance. With the cabin door to your back, head to the right to find the entrance to the cave. It’s an almost straight descent with no pool of water to catch you, so use the glider to land safely.

This cabin in the northwestern part of the Hebra Mountains is Selmie’s Spot. The entrance to the cave is circled.

Hebra Mountain Northwest Cave is a large chamber with a pool of icy water in the center. There is a camp of four Bokoblins on the edge and the shrine platform is beyond their camp on a small ridge. Go to the empty shrine platform to get the “The Northwestern Hebra Cave Crystal” quest from the sanctuary.

‘The Northwest Hebra Cave Crystal’ walkthrough

As the leading green ray of the crystal indicates, it is located at the bottom of the small pond in the center of the cave. Unfortunately, the pond is full of icy water, and no level of cold-resistant elixirs or cold-weather gear can protect Link from harm.

There are a few options for fishing it out:

The cave has many long icicles dangling from the ceiling. Use whatever you like to take down at least three of them; arrows or thrown objects will dislodge them. Attach the three icicles together with Ultra convenient to make a long stick to fish the crystal out of the water.

Link is holding three long icicles attached to each other with Ultrahand over a pond.

Or you see a few meltable ice blocks around the cave. Use your favorite melting technique – campfire, fire rod – to discover a chest containing three Wings. Use these to create floating platforms to get close enough and then use them Ultra convenient to extract the crystal.

Whichever method you choose, return the crystal to the shrine to complete the quest and restore the shrine.

Enter the shrine to accept Rauru’s blessingincluding one chest of Topaz inside. Approach the stage to accept the Light of blessing.

The Hebra Mountain Northwest Cave Bubbulfrog

Before you go, grab everything else this cave has to offer, including two savory truffles along its edges.

The Bubblefrog is actually the easiest to get to on your way out. Return to the side of the cave where the entrance shaft is. In the middle you see a small hill; stand on it facing the pond. Activate To take off, and take two steps towards the pond, so that the entrance shaft of the cave is barely visible. You can then ascend directly into a small room where the Bubbulfrog is hiding.
