A Russian tourist who allegedly tried to rape a cow was gored by the animal and had to be rescued by Thai police.
It is said that 26-year-old Evgenii Kuvshinov stripped naked and walked up to a male bull yesterday afternoon, before turning his attention to a female bull tied to a wooden fence in a field in Surat Thani, southern Thailand.
The holidaymaker is said to have tried to climb onto the cow, but reacted violently: she pushed the cow to the ground and injured it.
Concerned neighbors, who suspected the Russian had evil intentions after seeing him sneaking around naked, had already called the police. They also heard his cries for help as he was attacked and stood by his side as they waited for the officers to arrive.

A paramedic from the Ban Na Doem Foundation who treated Kuvshinov said they suspected he wanted to have sex with the cow.
They said, ‘We found cannabis in his car, so maybe he was high. The way we found him, his actions suggest he was trying to do something dirty with the cow, that he wanted to have sex with her.’
Lieutenant Thongchai Chaikit from Kuvshinov police station in Ban Na Doem said they received reports of a foreign man having an “altercation” with a cow at 5.40pm on August 15.
The officer said the cow charged at the suspect when he tried to detain him by holding his head and that he was “lucky the rescue team arrived to save him.”

Police Lieutenant Thongchai added: “When we arrived at the scene, the suspect was attacked by the cow. Witnesses said he first went to a male cow, then to the female cow and tried to mount her.
‘It’s possible he tried to have sex with the cow, but we can’t say for sure. There was no sperm on her.
‘He kept walking and spoke Russian without any meaning. He didn’t smell of alcohol. There was marijuana in his car and his passport was torn up.
‘We sent him to the hospital because he had an injury to his buttocks, but in the hospital he went completely crazy and the doctors didn’t want to admit him. That’s why he’s now in custody at our police station.
‘Now we are waiting for the tourist police and the immigration police to get to work on it, then we can investigate.’
