Russian soldiers say they will commit suicide or desert rather than face certain death after being given fake ammunition, weapons and ordered to attack Ukrainians

  • Russian soldiers say they are fleeing Ukraine’s front lines because of blind weapons

Russian soldiers have said they are committing suicide or deserting rather than face certain death after receiving inadequate ammunition and weapons with which to attack Ukrainian forces.

Soldiers of the 1,442nd regiment, fighting near the occupied Ukrainian village of Klishchiivka near Bakhmut, said in a video that they are now on the run, ignoring an order to form an assault group as this is a “guaranteed death” ‘ would mean.

Highlighting the brutal horror of the front lines, they said they face carnage from Ukraine if they attack them with fake weapons and ammunition, as well as from Vladimir Putin’s death squads if they withdraw.

The Russian soldiers said the situation has become so bad that some men are committing suicide before being sent to fight again.

The soldiers warned their wives and girlfriends that their decision to flee will mean they will likely encounter death squads whose job is to shoot deserters.

“(We are) fighting… around Klishchiivka,” they said in the video. ‘Nearly all our infantry were killed…. An order came today to create a group of 10 people for some kind of attack – guaranteed death.

“Our ammunition is terrible. Some don’t shoot, and those that do don’t explode…

“Today… a man who did not belong to our regiment hanged himself and committed suicide out of fear.”

The forcibly mobilized soldiers said, “We have made a decision. We fled. We left our weapons behind… but there are death squads….”

Such secret service hit teams were used by Stalin in World War II to shoot dead people fleeing the front line – and they have reportedly returned.

“One retreating group was… shot dead…,” said the spokespeople for the mobilized men. ‘People flee and hang themselves.

“We served a year without vacation…. We are being sent to certain death.”

They complained about the mess in Putin’s army: ‘We are artillery without ammunition.

‘When the ammunition ran out, we were assigned to the infantry. But we had no infantry training.”

The men are believed to come from Barnaul and Slavgorod in Siberia, about 4,000 kilometers from the front line.

Wives of the desperate conscripts told Putin in a recorded message revealed by media outlet Astra: “Our men understand the complexity of the situation and refuse to face certain death.

‘If they refuse, our men are beaten and still sent into battle. They don’t (even) allow them to take out the wounded.

‘They’re shooting at them. Our men are forced to defend not only themselves against the enemy, but also against their own people, who should be helping them, not killing them.”

The women have not yet received a response from the Russian dictator.
