Russian soldiers execute Ukrainians with medieval SWORD in revenge for Kursk invasion

According to Kiev, Russian soldiers executed a Ukrainian prisoner of war with a medieval sword in revenge for the invasion of Kursk.

Disgusting photos appear to show an unarmed Ukrainian soldier lying in a pool of blood after being stabbed with a crude weapon by his Russian captors.

“The level of barbarity and bloodlust is incomprehensible,” said Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian parliament’s commissioner for human rights.

The sword is visible in the torso of the Ukrainian fighter, whose hands are bound with tape. His body is apparently not visible as a macabre warning.

The coat of arms bears the words “For Kursk,” a reference to Ukraine’s surprise invasion of the Russian border region, which humiliated Vladimir Putin.

Lubinets reported the alleged evidence of war crimes to the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

“Another war crime: the Russians executed an unarmed Ukrainian prisoner of war with a sword while his hands were bound with tape,” the ombudsman said.

‘Such actions constitute a gross violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

‘How long will the world have to watch as Russia openly shows that it does not respect any norms or laws?’

He added: ‘I would like to emphasise once again that such demonstrative executions are intended to demoralise Ukrainian society.

“But when we see such actions, we must be even more determined in the fight against the aggressor.”

Some reports say the gruesome murder took place in the Russian-occupied Donetsk region in or near Novogrodivka. The sword appears to be ceremonial or decorative.

The Ukrainian channel Andryushchenko Time reported: ‘The Russians executed our prisoner in a particularly cynical manner.

“Judging by the amount of blood, the sword was stuck in the fighter who was still alive. There is tape visible on the wrists.”

The report promised: ‘Retribution will find every Russian criminal… do not forget and do not forgive. Anger. Only anger.’

Meanwhile, some Russian channels have openly approved of the barbarity.

Spetskurs, a Russian pro-war activist who runs paramilitary camps for children, said: “Clearly deserved.”

The hardliner Rosich, based in St. Petersburg, declared: “Whoever comes to us with a sword will die by the sword.”

Although the weapon used in the killings is particularly barbaric, such horrific killings have become a disturbing feature of the war.

Last month, a Russian fighter boasted that his battalion had “beheaded” Ukrainian soldiers.

A grim video shows the soldier posing with a severed head on a pole.

The footage was reported to the UN by authorities in Kiev as a war crime and is believed to have been taken at a Russian border crossing in the Belgorod region.

Also in August, a suspected Ukrainian prisoner of war was pictured with his head, arms and legs dismembered. Videos have shown executions of unarmed and bound prisoners of war.

In June, the severed head of a Ukrainian defender was allegedly placed on a war-damaged armored vehicle by Russian invaders.

Ukraine launched a surprise offensive in Russia’s Kursk region on August 6. Kiev claimed to have gained control of some 100 Russian settlements and nearly 1,300 square kilometers of territory late last month.

The invasion, which was deeply embarrassing for the Kremlin, marked the first time since World War II that a foreign army had taken control of parts of Russia.

Russian and Ukrainian sources confirmed last week that Kiev’s forces were losing their grip on some of the territory they captured during the devastating offensive, while Moscow launched a major counteroffensive.
