Russian soldier is shot in the head by a sniper’s bullet but survives
Watch the incredible moment when a Russian soldier is shot in the head by a sniper bullet, but survives, then shrugs, “Yeah, I’m still alive”
- Wagner mercenary fighter was hit in the head by a Ukrainian sniper’s bullet
- The Russian soldier and his comrades could not believe his closeness to death
Incredible footage shows the moment a Russian fighter cheated death when he was hit in the head by a sniper round.
The fighter – from the pro-Putin Wagner paramilitary group – is hit by the bullet as he stands up, before nonchalantly telling his fellow troops to “be alive.”
As his comrades took cover behind a destroyed wall, the sniper could clearly see the man’s head as he stood in his line of sight.
The bullet ricocheted off the Go-Pro camera mounted on his helmet, leaving him momentarily dazed and confused in the heart of the Bakhmut war zone, a report said.
The force of the bullet knocks him out and takes the camera off – but had he been an inch lower, the soldier would have been killed instantly.
Another Russian soldier, clearly surprised at his colleague’s encounter with death, says, “Lucky man.”
“Come on, back up, back up,” a fighter then yells, trying to get the man to a safer place.
They then ask him, clearly in disbelief themselves, “Are you still alive?”
“Yeah, still alive,” she says with a shrug, clearly not believing he was lucky.
A voice can then be heard shouting warnings that the squadron is in line of sight of Ukrainian defenders.
‘There’s a sniper on duty! A sniper is on the job!’ you hear a soldier say.
The video was shot by an RIA Novosti correspondent who accompanied the Russian invaders during maneuvers.

It comes after analysts and Russian officials said on Friday that the battle over Bakhmut is reigniting.
The eastern Ukrainian city has been the scene of eight and a half months the warthe longest and bloodiest battle.
“Russia has revived its attack on Bakhmut,” Britain’s defense ministry said of the recent developments.
