Russell Wilson and Ciara visit a maximum security prison to sing and dance with more than 300 inmates

Russell Wilson and wife Ciara ventured to a prison last week, where they joined in song and dance with over 300 inmates.

The 34-year-old NFL star and 37-year-old music artist — who recently enjoyed a tropical vacation — partnered with the organization God Behind Bars to make the visit happen.

In footage from the gathering the mother-of-three appeared to have been moved to tears.

Everglades Correctional Institution in Florida opened its doors to allow Russell to lead a prayer and Ciara to sing.

According to the God Behind Bars website, the collective ‘has partnered with churches around the country to transform the lives of prison inmates and their families’ since 2009.

The establishment later took to social media to reflect on the uplifting time spent with the two stars.

In a video post shared on Instagram, the accompanying caption stated, ‘300 incarcerated men filled the prison chapel to hear a word from @dangerusswilson.

The post also said that 27 of those men were so moved by Russell’s recitement of a bible passage that they ‘gave their lives to Jesus.’

The lengthy and thoughtful post continued, ‘The voices of the incarcerated were so loud, it felt like it could be heard by the entire prison.

‘In a place so easily filled with so much division, there was a moment where Incarcerated men put their arms around each other and prayed for those struggling with anxiety and depression.’

Ciara used her vocal chops to perform a rendition of the tune Waymaker as ‘men came to the front and wept, giving their lives to Jesus.’

Going on, the message said, ‘Many of these men are serving life sentences in prison, but now they will be spending LIFE with Jesus.

‘It is hard to put words into what happened but it was a night of UNITY, PRAISE, and SALVATION! We will never be the same! God is bringing revival to prisons! Jesus is doing a NEW THING.’

Russell took time to post a video of himself singing into a microphone as the inmates, dressed in gray uniforms, celebrated around him.

Uploading the content in his Stories, he tagged his wife and the organization and added ‘JESUS loves.’

In another clip highlighting his wife’s, whom he married in July 2016, dance moves as he wrote, ‘I Thank God!’

He also reposted a snippet from artist Jeff Vanags who gushed over the husband and wife as he wrote, ‘What a privilege it is to work for these two.

‘You guys set a new standard for what it looks like to love and to serve.’

Both Russell and Ciara were dressed down in understated black looks, so as not to detract from their purpose for being there.

The hitmaker-turned-businesswoman wore her hair in a precise center part with the long, golden tinted locks falling to her hips in a loose wave.

The two philanthropists share five-year-old daughter Sienna, two-year-old son Win, and eight-year-old Future from Ciara’s past relationship with the rapper of the same name.
