Russell Wilson and Ciara will reportedly make a total of $31 million from the sale of their Washington estate after finally finding a buyer for the property.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the couple had found a buyer for the 11,000-square-foot mansion near Seattle, which Wilson purchased in 2015 as a member of the Seahawks. It was put up for sale two years ago when Wilson was traded to the Broncos.
While the couple previously sold a plot next to the mansion for $9.75 million in 2022, Wall Street Journal reported this week that Wilson and Ciara will receive $21.25 million for the mansion alone.
That’s a huge increase of almost $15 million from the $6.7 million he initially paid for the house, while the couple spent the same amount on the lot that they ultimately sold for $3 million more.
However, according to the WSJ, the couple had previously asked $36 million for the entire estate, and later listed the house separately for $28 million.
Russell Wilson and Ciara will complete the sale of their mansion this month for $21.25 million
The Bellevue, Washington mansion they owned was listed for about $25 million
Wilson signed with the Steelers this offseason after being released by the Denver Broncos
It was recently listed at $24.9 million before being sold.
The sale of the house is expected to close this month.
The Bellevue, Washington home is said to have six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a theater, a gym, a yoga and dance studio, and even a two-story treehouse.
“This was Russ’s house in Seattle,” one of the real estate agents told the newspaper Puget Sound business magazine.’This is where he started his family. They have a recording studio in the house for Ciara. There is a very strong emotional bond with the house.
‘They were waiting for someone who saw the value in it and was willing to come along. We are very pleased to have a great buyer who can now make their own memories here.”
This sale comes about a month after Wilson suffered a $3.5 million loss on the sale of his Denver-area home following his move to Pittsburgh.
