Russell Lea: Woman’s body discovered at Sydney home after ‘domestic incident’ as man, 42, is arrested

A man has been arrested after police discovered a woman’s body in a home following a reported ‘domestic incident’.

Emergency services were called to the home on Clements Street in Russell Lea, inner-city Sydney, just after 11am on Thursday.

Officers found a woman at the scene, believed to be in her fifties, who has yet to be identified.

A 42-year-old man who knew the deceased was arrested at the scene and taken to Burwood Police Station where he assisted police with inquiries.

A crime scene has been cordoned off at the home, which is being investigated by forensic police and detectives.
