24-year-old Charlotte, who has renamed herself singer Tiarlie, confirmed via her Instagram Stories on Thursday that she was among the people evacuated in Malibu amid the fires.
“Thank you to everyone who checked on me, I have been evacuated and I am safe,” she wrote.
“LA people, please listen to the evacuation orders, you never think something like this will affect you until it happens.
“Your lives are more important than material things. My local restaurants, friends’ houses and AA meetings are gone and it’s only been three days.
“I pray that my house will be okay and that no one else will lose theirs.”
In another post, a ‘terrified’ Tiarlie shared how she has already been evacuated three times during the short two-month period she has lived in Malibu.
“Every time the wind blows, the power shuts off in my entire neighborhood,” she continued.
‘Support your local fire brigade and keep putting pressure on the government. If they don’t want to take global warming seriously, they need to start taking infrastructure seriously, because it’s just as scary as it looks here.”
The inferno began raging through Pacific Palisades on Tuesday, quickly spreading to surrounding suburbs as a storm carried embers and debris in all directions.
