Rupert Grint fully supports Harry Potter TV adaptation and talks about the death of Dumbledore actors
Rupert Grint has thrown his support behind a Harry Potter TV series amid rumors that studio bosses are already considering adapting the franchise.
The 34-year-old actor, who played the wizard’s friend Ron Weasley in all eight films, said he thought it “worked very well”.
speaking to GQ hype He also spoke about the death of actor Richard Harris, who played Principal Albus Dumbledore in the first two films, admitting that it was a difficult thing to contemplate as a 13-year-old.

He told the publication: “I would love to see Harry Potter adapted into a TV show.” I think it would really work. I’m sure the movies will be redone anyway.’
He revealed that Richard’s death, in 2002 at age 72 after a battle with cancer, was the first loss he had experienced.
‘I was 13 years old, in a hotel promoting the second film, when they told me. It was something difficult to contemplate.
Later, Richard was replaced in the role by Michael Gambon, now 82 years old.

He went on to discuss the loss of other cast members, including Alan Rickman, who played Severus Snape, and Helen McCrory, Narcissa Malfoy, describing them as family.

Both actors also lost their battles with cancer, with Helen passing away at age 52 in 2021 and Alan in 2016 at age 69.
It comes after Rupert confirmed that he would be prepared to return in some form as long as “the time was right and they all come back”.
Speaking during an appearance on This Morning on Thursday, Rupert admitted that he feels “protective” of Ron and would like to see what he’s up to now because the role was “his whole childhood”.

Two decades after first hitting screens, the trio reunited in 2021 when they returned to Hogwarts for the franchise’s 20th anniversary at Warner Bros. Studios.
