Rupert Friend has been added to the cast of the upcoming Jurassic World film.
The news about the 42-year-old actor was confirmed on Wednesday, when it was announced that he would star in the sci-fi film alongside Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey.
Details about the character the artist – who recently reunited with his Homeland costar Claire Danes – will play have not been revealed. The Hollywood Reporter.
Development of the new entry in the Jurassic Park franchise was publicly confirmed last January.
At the time, it was revealed that writer David Koepp had signed on to write the new film’s screenplay.

The entertainment industry figure co-wrote the script for the original Jurassic Park film with Michael Crichton, who wrote the novel on which the film was based.
Koepp then wrote the screenplay for the film’s sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, which premiered in 1997.
Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two films in the franchise, is expected to serve as executive producer on the new project.
Last February, it was reported that David Leitch was in talks to direct the new entry in the franchise.
However, the filmmaker ultimately left the project and Gareth Edwards took over the director’s chair that same month.
Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill, who play Dr. Ian Malcolm, Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant starred in the original Jurassic Park film and are not expected to return for the new installment of the feature film.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, who played Owen Grady and Claire Dearing in the new Jurassic World films, will not reprise their roles in the seventh Jurassic Park film.
