Rumer Willis celebrates daughter Louetta’s first birthday with heart-melting album – including snap of her little girl with grandfather Bruce Willis
Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughter Rumer Willis celebrated her own daughter Louetta’s first birthday on Saturday.
Rumer, 35, shares her little bundle of joy with her boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas, who she went public with just a month before announcing her pregnancy.
Now, almost two years later, Rumer celebrated their daughter’s first birthday with a heartbreaking Instagram album full of throwback snaps.
One of the photos showed little Louetta being cooed by her grandmother Demi, as well as her boyfriend, celebrity florist Eric Buterbaugh.
In one particularly sweet photo, Louetta is cradled by her grandfather Bruce amid his heartbreaking decline from dementia.

‘Oh my little tender daughter, I can’t believe you’re 1. The last year with you was the best year of my life,” Rumer wrote.
“Lou, I’ve never known love like yours. You are the hottest, prettiest, smartest, funniest and sweetest girl I know,” the showbiz legacy added.
“I can’t believe you chose me to be your mother, oh my god. Every day you grow and learn more and you are my greatest teacher and my deepest love.”
She continued, “You are a gift to everyone you meet and your smile is almost blinding, it’s so magical. Your laugh is my favorite sound in the whole world. Your little kisses are the best thing to wake up to. I love you so deep in my bones, my little daughter. I can’t wait to see what next year brings!!”
Turning her attention to the rest of her family, Rumer showered Demi with gratitude “for being the best Ya Ya I could ask for, Lou loves you so much.”
She also praised her sisters Scout and Tallulah Willis, as well as her half-sisters Mabel and Evelyn, whom Bruce shares with his second wife Emma Heming.
Rumer thanked her siblings for being “the best aunts and Emma for being bonus Gma and my daddy and @ericbuterbaugh for being the best Papous.”
She also praised her friend and shared her gratitude “for the greatest gift of my life.” She is so lucky that you are her daddy. I can’t believe our daughter is 1.’

Her doula Lori Bregman and her midwives Meaghan Snider and Aleksandra Evanguelidi were praised as “my incredible support system of women who helped me bring this magical being to earth.”
Rumer added, “I’m so honored that you were there to hold the container for the most amazing and transformative day of my life.”
The actress also gave a shoutout to photographer Cristina King, who documented both Louetta’s birth and her first birthday.
Her most moving thanks went to Louetta herself: “To my little squambo, Scooby Lou, my twin brother, my fiery Aries prodigy, my best friend and partner in crime. I love you more every day and I am so grateful for you.”
