Rudy Giuliani’s daughter Caroline endorses Kamala Harris and blames Trump for ‘taking her father away from her’

Rudy Giuliani’s daughter Caroline voiced her support for Kamala Harris in a scathing essay blaming Donald Trump for taking her father away.

Caroline, a 35-year-old filmmaker, wrote in an essay for Vanity fair: ‘I mourned the loss of my father to Trump. I can’t bear to lose our country to him too.

She talks about how she cried when the former New York mayor first told her he would be Trump’s lawyer, which happened in 2018.

“Watching my father’s life crumble since he joined forces with Trump has been extremely painful,” she notes.

“Trump being president was the worst thing that ever happened to my father, my family and the modern history of our country.”

Caroline’s mother is Donna Hanover, Giuliani’s second wife. She was four when her father was elected mayor of New York and the family moved to Gracie Mansion.

She was pictured at her father’s inauguration in 1994, wearing a pink coat and holding her father’s face.

After her parents divorced in 2000, she and her mother lived in Gracie Mansion until Giuliani’s term ended. They then moved to eastern Manhattan.

Her brother Andrew also worked for Donald Trump.

Rudy Giuliani has long fallen from grace since becoming known as “America’s Mayor” in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks, where he led New York City’s response and helped the city recover economically and emotionally.

He lost his law license in Washington DC and in New York City, where he made his name as a prosecutor in the US Southern District Court.

He led the false claims that Trump stole the 2020 election from him. He is being charged in Arizona for trying to overturn the election results there. And he also owes $148 million to two Georgia election workers who Giuliani, a court ruled, defamed by claiming they helped steal the election from Trump.

In many ways, he has become a national joke – and a national tragedy.

But Caroline notes that despite the two being estranged since he divorced her mother, she still loves him.

‘My father and I have a cartoonishly complicated relationship. But he is still my father, and despite his faults, I love him,” she wrote.

“I’ve seen him experience surreal highs, and now unfathomable lows. The last thing I want to do is hurt him, especially when he’s already down. Moreover, we never know how much time we have left with our parents. The whole thing makes this the hardest piece I’ve ever written. Yet this moment and this election are so much bigger than all of us.”

Caroline Giuliani, who supported Joe Biden in 2020 and Hillary Clinton in 2016, describes in her essay her concerns about how Trump would act if he becomes president with full immunity from any actions taken while in the White House, and what his presidency would mean to him. abortion rights.

And she praises Harris: “She has the experience, intelligence and determination to lead us to a better future, and her taking Trump to task in the debate only further validates her ability to defend us against our most dangerous enemies, both domestic and foreign. ‘

‘Take it from me: Trump destroys everything he touches. I saw it happen to my family. Don’t let it happen to yours, or to our country.’
